Services

Faculty members at all levels of teaching experience have benefitted from core Reinert Center services such as: one-on-one teaching consultations, instructional design and mentored online course-building collaborations, mid-semester focus groups with students, formative classroom observations, and formative feedback on course materials (e.g., syllabi, assignments, rubrics). Programs

Those newer to teaching may find our Certificate Program helpful in understanding foundational aspects of effective teaching, and those newer to the context of Jesuit education may be interested in our Ignatian Pedagogy Academy. More experienced instructors interested in experimenting with new approaches may find our mini-grants and our Innovative Teaching Fellowship particularly appealing. Faculty who teach high concentrations of international students may be interested joining a future cohort of the Culturally Responsive Teaching Academy. Additionally, we regularly offer online courses to support faculty who teach online. Finally, faculty who are preparing for tenure and/or promotion may be interested in attending our annual Academic Portfolio Retreat, which helps faculty generate and shape material for effective presentation in academic dossiers.
