Ibram X. Kendi, Ph.D., the Andrew W. Mellon Professor in the Humanities at Boston University, and the author of 鈥淗ow to Be an Anti-Racist,鈥 will headline the on Thursday, Sept. 10.
Kendi鈥檚 talk, 鈥淗ow To Be An Antiracist: The 2020 Election & Beyond鈥 will be broadcast on Zoom.
The free event will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10. Capacity is limited to 1,000 people and registration is required.
Kendi is a New York Times bestselling author and the founding director of the BU Center for Antiracist 浪花直播. He is a contributing writer at The Atlantic and a CBS News correspondent.
Kendi is also the 2020-2021 Frances B. Cashin Fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University.
Kendi is the author of 鈥淪tamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America,鈥 which won the National Book Award for Nonfiction, and 鈥淭he Black Campus Movement,鈥 which won the W.E.B. Du Bois Book Prize. He is also the author of the New York Times bestsellers, 鈥淗ow to Be an Antiracist鈥 and 鈥淪tamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You,鈥 a young adult remix of 鈥淪tamped from the Beginning,鈥 co-authored with Jason Reynolds. He most recently authored the Indie bestseller, 鈥淎ntiracist Baby,鈥 available as a board book and picture book for caretakers and little ones.
