Lisa Puetz, Administrative Assistant of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, said, 鈥淚 think that what we do as department Administrative Assistants goes far beyond a defined set of responsibilities. My job is to support my department holistically, and also to be actively on the lookout for ways that I can improve how the department runs administratively, whether that鈥檚 through establishing or streamlining procedures, and especially making use of the technological resources we have available to us. Cutting down on administrative confusion allows faculty to spend more energy living out SLU鈥檚 mission through their teaching and research. I feel really fortunate to have the opportunity to contribute to what our fantastic faculty members do, expanding students鈥 perspectives and preparing them to be people for others, on a global scale.

I鈥檓 originally from St. 浪花直播 and returned here after receiving my BA in Psychology from Bellarmine University in 2017. As a student, I interned at a refugee resettlement organization in 浪花直播ville, which deepened my appreciation for multilingualism and language learning before finding my job here. I now reside in Dogtown, which makes it easy to go for runs in my happy place, Forest Park. In my free time, I love tapping into my creative side especially in the areas of digital design and illustration. I travel when I can, but I also enjoy exploring the rich arts and food scenes we have right here in our own city. The pandemic has meant trying to make my own kitchen a 鈥渇ood scene,鈥 for better or for worse. 鈥滒煓
